This 13-inch MacBook Pro (model MB991LL/A) also now includes Apple's innovative built-in notebook battery for up to 7 hours of wireless productivity on a single charge without adding thickness, weight or cost. Using Adaptive Charging and advanced chemistry first introduced with the 17-inch MacBook Pro the built-in battery delivers up to 1000 recharges before it reaches 80 percent of its original capacity--nearly three times the lifespan of conventional batteries.

Under the hood, the MacBook Pro is powered by a powerful 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor (with 3 MB L2 cache and 1066 MHz front-side bus), which runs applications faster and more efficiently as well as helps to reduce power requirements and save on battery life. And video is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics processor, which provides an outstanding everyday graphics experience with up to a 5x performance boost.

HP dv4i Notebook Appears Quietly on Official Website

It is a mystery why HP decided not to introduce this Core i5-powered dv4i notebook on CES 2010 but put it up on its official store. Nevertheless, its features remain interesting enough to be featured here.

The 14-inch HP dv4i runs either with 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 520M or 2.53GHz 540M dual-core processors, it's your choice. Either way, its Turbo Boost feature can speed the notebook up to 2.93GHz and 3.06GHz respectively. It also has up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB of hard disk, and 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550 graphics chipset.

Design-wise, it keeps the all-black glossy case with overlapping circular patterns its predecessors had. It also means it has kept the chrome trackpad that some users are not too keen about.

The HP dv4i notebook is now available on its official store, with costs starting from US$799.

Onkyo DX Dual-Screen Laptop

Looks like Japan does not mind suffering from Galapagos Syndrome. After all, it's not their problem that they are technologically-advanced, it is the problem of other countries that they are lagging behind. Proof of this is the growing market for dual-screen laptops. After Kohjinsha unveiled its DZ-series dual-display model, Onkyo developed their own as well.

The Onkyo DX dual-screen laptop has a pair of 10.1-inch LCD displays with 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution, way bigger than then competition although there is not much difference on its overall size. Like the DZ, it also has a 1.6GHz Athlon Neo MV-40 CPU, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics chip, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and three USB ports. The difference, however, lies on its standard 2GB memory, which can be expanded to 4GB, as well as a 320GB of hard drive storages, both double the capacity of the Kohjinsha DZ. It also comes with a Gigabit Ethernet and a 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium as its OS.

The Onkyo DX is now available in Japan for a measly 84,800 yen (or about US$966), even cheaper than the most advance laptops in other countries.
